The Tactics Of Spiritual Warfare

3 Parts | By:

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). How do we prepare for the spiritual battle in which we are engaged? How do we stay strong in the Lord? In the same way that soldiers in physical battle prepare to fight, we prepare by putting on armor. The Bible calls it the “armor of God,” because it is spiritual armor that gives us the power to fight a spiritual foe. It is your choice, though, as a follower of Christ, to get dressed for the battle. God has a designer wardrobe that is specially tailored to make you strong and give you victory over the evil one. This series by Ed Young will help you get your God Gear out of the closet and take a stand for the Lord.

Putting On The Armor Of God

The first three pieces of our spiritual armor, described in Ephesians 6:14-15, are made available to us the moment we establish a personal relationship with Christ. When we are in Christ, we are fitted with the girdle of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the boots of the gospel of peace. Ed Young reminds us in this message that understanding who you are in Christ is half the battle.
