Living on a Prayer: Part 2 – Hands On Prayer

Jabez prayed (I Chronicles 4:9-10) that God would first, bless him, second, expand his territory, and then third, that Gods hand would be upon him. Why in that order? The hand of God represents the presence, power, and protection of God. Jabez knew that, when he asked for Gods blessing and for expanded influence, he would also need the continuing hand of God in his life in order to handle all that God would give him.
